About Belinda Fogde, MACP
Associate Marriage & Family Therapist
Supervised by a licensed person.
As Forest Gump said, “Life is a box of chocolates; you never know what you are going to get.”
Our lives are full of sweet memories of our babies when they were little. And as they grow and mature, parenting becomes more challenging and sometimes discouraging.
As a parent of five high school and adult children, I have learned valuable lessons as a mother and therapist about navigating parenting and developmental challenges.
I offer client-centered care to all my clients while carefully considering each person’s spiritual and cultural history. I enjoy working with adults of all ages, children, teens, families, and couples. I draw on family systems theory, strengths identification, and an understanding of how our bodies and minds process trauma.
I am trained in Motivational Interviewing, Parent and Child Interaction Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I love incorporating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and its four core skills: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. I teach a variety of skills and utilize interventions to bring awareness to your physical and emotional well-being. Using this approach, along with Neurofeedback, has allowed me to help many children and adults with neurodivergence and various behavioral adaptations.
Let’s journey together, discuss your past and present struggles, and learn new skills along the way.
I love spending time with my family, two pugs, four cats, and two chinchillas. I earned my Associate’s degree from Shasta College and completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Counseling Psychology from Simpson University.
I look forward to working with you!
