I am beyond honored and blessed to witness you and your story. I am moved by the transformations I witness in my room every day. It takes a tremendous amount of courage to open your heart and share the most intimate details of your life and I don’t take that lightly.
It was during my own therapy for healing from the trauma of a 20-year abusive marriage that I was called by God to “give away what I had received”. At the age of 50, I went home to my new husband of 3 months and told him that I was going to enroll in college. I had no idea at the time what that would require. It has been the most challenging and rewarding journey of my life thus far.
Most people come to therapy because something is not working in their life now. Rarely do we consider that it probably has more to do with our past than our present. It is in discovering the negative mindsets that have become our core beliefs that we are able to gain the insight and wisdom to change what is keeping us stuck.
We end up living our life out of the negative beliefs that we have taken as our own and written upon our soul. We take them with us into our relationships; we make life decisions based on them. In essence, those negative mindsets/beliefs become our way of being.
I was born and raised in Red Bluff, California. I raised my kids and spent most of my adult life in Southern California until returning to Northern California and settling in Redding nine years ago.
I am married to the love of my life and between us we have 6 adult children, 4 of whom are married, together with 6 grandchildren.
I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California and from Simpson University in Redding, California with my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology.
I am a certified EMDR Therapist and owner of The Sound Mind. It is my honor and privilege to walk alongside you on your healing journey.
I am a Clinical Supervisor and love to develop therapists and coaches into becoming who they want to be.

It's so great to meet you! I have a true passion for helping children and families, which is why I am a play therapist. Play therapy is a form of counseling that uses play to communicate with and help children. It's a safe space for children to express themselves and work through their emotions, experiences, and traumas. I love integrating Behavioral and Family Systems therapies into my work with children. It is incredibly rewarding to see them resolve trauma, develop coping skills, and thrive in their families. My ultimate goal is to create a safe and caring environment for the children and families I work with. I want them to feel comfortable and supported as they heal, grow, and develop new skills.
In addition to being a play therapist, I also serve as the assistant director of a local pregnancy center. When I'm not working, I enjoy hiking, beach trips, good coffee, and spending time with my wonderful nephews and niece.
I'm excited to get to know you more and learn about your experiences!
Education and Training: I received my Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Oral Roberts University in 2014. Since then, I've been working as a Children's Therapist both in Tulsa, Oklahoma and now in Redding.

Hello! It’s been said it’s a good life when you are being paid to do what you enjoy. I became interested in a career in therapy because I enjoy talking to people! I love listening to stories about lives being lived. Hearing about people’s successes, their fails, their joys and pain and all the things in between. To help me hone my skills, grad school was incredibly useful in giving me tips and tricks for navigating and directing conversations to a little better place then where they started.
I am very excited to work with folks from the LGBTQ+ community, children, teens, older adults, couples, young adults and middle-aged adults! There’s no one I can think of that I would not be interested in working with.
Because each one of us is so unique and complex, therapy is not a one size fits all experience. In my work with clients I pull from a few of my favorite modalities such as Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). Some people are logical and want to figure out their next steps or want to move through a tough time as quickly and efficiently as possible. These folks generally have had therapy before and just need a refresher on their goals and strengths (SFT). Some folks want more coping skills and deeper insight into their mental illness. These folks might enjoy meditation and nature or other mindfulness activities (ACT). And yet others may want to navigate their emotions and stop allowing their emotions to navigate them (EFT). Then there are those of us that utilize something from all three! Let’s get together and chat and find your size.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from the life you want to live? Life’s challenges can sometimes make it feel like you’re trapped in a story that doesn’t reflect who you truly are—but you have the power to rewrite it.
As a therapist, I provide a compassionate, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, heal from pain, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want. My approach is collaborative, blending Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and expressive arts techniques, along with EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or major life transitions, I’m here to help you reconnect with your strengths and creativity.
I specialize in working with children, teens, and adults and strive to create an inclusive, affirming space for individuals of all backgrounds. I also work with couples and families, helping them strengthen their relationships and overcome obstacles together.
Outside of therapy, I find joy in art, cultural experiences, and time in nature. My background in art education informs my belief that creativity is a powerful tool for self-expression and healing. Reaching out for support is an act of courage, and I would be honored to work with you.

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here! I'm a therapist who is passionate about helping clients feel safer, more regulated, and more connected to themselves, others, and the world around them. I believe healing begins with understanding our nervous systems and unfolds through relationships that offer safety, attunement, and compassion.
I specialize in working with trauma, emotional dysregulation, grief, identity development, and neurodiversity. My approach is warm, experiential, and rooted in mindfulness and nervous system regulation. I integrate Polyvagal Theory, trauma-informed care, and values-driven support to help clients move from survival toward a more grounded and empowered way of living.
I’m especially passionate about creating inclusive, affirming spaces where LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse clients feel seen, supported, and safe to explore identity, heal from systemic harm, and reconnect with their sense of self-worth and belonging.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years working in education, program management, and youth development. I’ve directed camps, led community-based programs, and facilitated experiential therapy, including equine-assisted work. I bring this hands-on, heart-centered background into the therapy room, offering a space that’s both curious and deeply supportive.
Outside of therapy, you’ll usually find me outdoors - hiking, horseback riding, backpacking, or at the lake with my dog. Nature is a big part of how I stay grounded, and it continues to shape how I show up in both life and work.Education and Training:
